5Rhythms

3-5-day retreats are an invitation to slow down and experience the resonant individual and collective learning field that is created by a gathering of embodied, creative movers. These events are a space of playful and prayerful expansion, an environment to shift your habitual patterns through awareness.

Putting your attention on your body, breath, feet and center is a form of alternative energy. When this focused attention is infused with love and compassion the heart opens with self-acceptance. With a room full of grounded, dancing, creative open hearts, the roof lifts off and our energy rises; and we have moments of ecstatic, meditative trance.

The 5Rhythms are a tool and structure to facilitate body-mind-heart communication through a rhythmic dancing language. These rhythms, or energy fields, give us permission and context to explore and shapeshift. Innovating and creating new shapes with different rhythms and patterns, shakes up and wakes up neural pathways between our brain and nervous system, and our bodies. Body intelligence improves and evolves. We feel where the obstacles are in our tissues, and we discover new the gateways to flow. Feeling fully present we uncover our essence and our vision opens.

Walk-to-Dance

I am a pedestrian choreographer teaching consciousness through walking and moving. Walk-to-Dance, a 3-day workshop has evolved very organically out of giving individual bodywork and movement sessions, and guiding weekly 5Rhythms classes. The integration of these two practices over the years has refined the content and the context for this 3-day workshop. Through my personal commitment to embodied consciousness, I created a path of playfully and easefully weaving together the dance in my walk, and the walk in my dance. What connects me into the present moment is my relationship to gravity, to my feet, to my center and to my breath. That is the foundation for Walk-to-Dance.

The question that we explore in Walk-to-Dance is ‘How can we evolve and grow to feel the dance in our walk, and the walk in our dance? And bridge our moving practices from the dance floor to our daily life?’

Walk-to-Dance is a process and a practice.

Walk-to-Dance is an invitation to your dancing spirit to enrich the pedestrian experiences we trace each day. Through conscious play fear melts and life force flows.

*All workshops are rooted in the BODY: gravity, feet, breath and center; with 5Rhythms and Walk-to-Dance as the foundation

“I have generational links to my unconscious shapes”

Bodywork

Over the course of my professional journey, I’ve observed thousands of different bodies, including professional dancers, athletes, the elderly, children of all ages senior executives and doctors, teens in a juvenile detention center as well as a wide variety of clients I’ve treated in my bodywork practice. This gift has allowed me to witness a direct connection between our inner states and our body’s outward expression. The more limited we are in our movement, the harder it is to expand our thinking and our spiritual well-being. Conversely, when we expand our movement vocabulary, we increase our cognitive and creative agility.

My bodywork practice includes three core components: Structural Bodywork, movement education, and dialogue. These are designed to help clients integrate and shift movement patterns on all levels.

Each session of Structural Bodywork includes 75-90 minutes of deep-tissue work to relieve tension and pain by increasing fluid flow and smoothing out blocks in the fascia and in the relationships between the joints. The intention is to create more space in the body and the mind. This whole experience is an adventure into your anatomy applying curiosity, wonder and presence through breath.

Coaching

Experience shapes you, and then you shape your experience.

Coaching opens up the possibility for new choices and new outcomes, and shows you the unrealized potentials that already exist in energetic field.

In 2016, I graduated from The Hendrick’s Institute’s two-year Leadership and Transformation program, and I’m now offering one-on-one on-line coaching sessions, integrating my knowledge of the body and movement with key practices in recognizing personas and generational patterns.

My approach to Big Leap we explore the emotional shapes from within, and how these shapes are affected by the stories within us and by the events outside of us. And then we can become the creators of our experience through learning to respond from presence rather than reacting from old stories and old conditioning? This kind of freedom brings with it a renewed sense of creative empowerment and inspiration, that translates into real world success within all aspects of our lives.
